Cats adore toys. If you were to close your eyes and reflect on your happiest times with your cat, chances are that the images that come to mind are your cat(s) playing. Hunting, pouncing, overpowering, and hitting toys around provides cats and their people tons of joy - so why do cats so often overlook the toys we bring home for them?
There is one very straightforward rule to consider when getting toys for cats: cats want a variety of toys. They like a selection of interactive cat toys that use each of their hunting skills. If you have plenty of toys, you can rotate your cat's choices so they can hunt for a beloved toy. Just don't hide a favorite toy away permanently. Make sure your cats have chances to enjoy all of their toys often.
What are the kinds of cat toys? Here are just a few:
Balls and chasers entice your cat to chase with feathers, fun noises, and peculiar shapes.
Chew toys are a great option for cats that like to chew. They also help to keep your cat's breath fresh and their teeth clean.
Interactive and electronic toys bring out the best in your cat's hunting abilities.
Plush and mice toys eventually are beloved toys that can relax and ease your cat when it's time to go into the carrier.
Scratcher posts and mats are a must for all ages of cats, from kitties to senior cats.
Teasers and wands are terrific toys for sharing playtime with your cat.
Tunnels become the hiding places where you can easily find your cat.
And variety packs help ensure your cat always has a fun toy.
Cats like toys that are light and small enough to be smacked without a lot of effort. They also like toys that are small enough to be grasped. And their favorite toys are objects they can engage with in multiple different ways.
When you are trying to find toys for your cat, you need to be sure they do not have any strings that could be pulled off and swallowed. They need to be large enough that your cat won't try to eat them. They need to be made from non-toxic materials. Tiny button eyes and button noses are adorable, but anything that can be bitten off and swallowed is risky for your cat. Cats of all ages can be harmed by toys with sharp points and edges. At Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Clearwater, we only provide toys that are safe for your cat.

Great staff. Great products. Emily is the best and" Louie" adds a positive bark.
I take my mini schnauzer to Woof Gang for grooming with Erica. She is a wonderful groomer. She is so kind and Max really likes her. He comes back looking so nice- she does a really great job grooming him. I highly recommend her as a groomer.
Lily (my babe) is partial to being groomed by women not men. And the staff at Woof Gang understand and have very lovely groomers.
Very pleased with my first time grooming at Woofgang. Everyone is so nice and professional. Emily did a fantastic job on my girl that has very long hair 😊
I just adopted my dog a week ago from the SPCA. She is very shy, timid, and was dirty and in need of a good haircut and bath. Casey was so sweet and did a phenomenal job on my little Alice. The grooming only took about an hour and a half and she came out with a little bow and a big smile on her face to see me. I recommend this groomer, we will be back to see Casey! The first photo is the before, how I picked her up from the SPCA. The second and third are after her grooming! She looks so much better! The shaved spot on her leg was from blood work she got at the SPCA, not the groomer. Thank you again!
